With blood donations typically at a year low in January, the American Red Cross wants to use this month to highlight the need for blood and Mercer County residents can help this week.
January is Blood Donor Month to encourage residents across the state to donate after the holidays.

The next Mercer County Red Cross Blood Drive is Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mercer County VFW. Walk-ins are welcome or you can make an appointment at redcrossblood.org or by call calling 800-RED-CROSS.
