Public Meeting To Discuss Aledo Multi-Use Path Project

The City of Aledo hosting a public meeting to discuss the 9th Avenue Multi-Use Path Project. The session is Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The city has been awarded $1.39 million by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the quality-of-life improvement. This award is through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP). Construction is planned for this year.
The 9th Avenue project runs from Genesis Medical Center Aledo to the Junior High campus.
Aledo just finished two multi-use path projects last year—an extension from the drivers license facility down SE 8th Avenue near the Aledo cemetery and then from the cemetery to College Avenue.
