Sherrard (12-2, 4-0 TRAC West) now sits alone in first place in the conference in girls basketball after a 58-48 win over Monmouth-Roseville (12-5, 3-1 TRAC West) on the road Monday.
The Tigers held a 10-point lead, 31-21, late in the first half but Monmouth-Roseville responded with a 7-0 run to close the second quarter to make it 31-28 at halftime. The Titans held a 42-40 advantage through three quarters. Sherrard outscored Monmouth-Roseville 18-6 in the fourth.
There were 54 total free throws attempted in the game. Sherrard shot 20-28 and Monmouth-Roseville went 18-26 from the line.
Violet Meskan scored a game-high 20 points for the Tigers. Adalynn Elsburry added 15.
Layla Katile paced the Titans with 15 points in the loss.
