Rylan Carton poured in 36 points in Sherrard’s (7-1, 2-0 TRAC West) 63-42 road win over Orion (6-2, 1-1 TRAC West) Friday.
The Tigers never trailed in the game, leading 19-6 at the end of the first quarter. Sherrard pushed its advantage to 32-15 midway through the second quarter but Orion closed the gap to nine, 36-27 at halftime. The Chargers cut the deficit to 40-35 in the third quarter, before the Tigers ended the period on a 6-0 run. Sherrard dominated the fourth quarter and ballooned its lead to as many as 24 points.
James Blackwell added 13 points in the win.
Kyler Owens paced Orion with 19 points.
Sherrard is alone in first place in the TRAC West.
