Mercer County (3-0) beat Alleman (0-3) 62-48 at the 10 & 32 Tip-Off Classic Friday. Carson Boelens scored 28 points and Brady McPeek added 26 for the Golden Eagles. Mercer County plays Ridgewood (1-2) Saturday.
Sherrard (2-0) defeated Genoa-Kingston (1-1) 62-31 at the Oregon Thanksgiving tournament to win its pool. Rylan Carton scored a game-high 19 points for the Tigers and James Blackwell chipped in with 14. Sherrard plays Rockford Christian (2-0) in the semifinal round Saturday. The second semifinal features Newman (2-0) playing South Beloit (2-0).
Rockridge (2-0) won both of its games at the Rock Island Turkey Tournament Friday, beating Bowen (0-2) 69-49 and St. Rita (0-2) 53-38. Landon Bull poured in 31 points in the victory over Bowen, while Landon Wheatley scored 17 to lead the Rockets against St. Rita. Rockridge takes on Dyett (1-1) and Rock Island (2-0) Saturday to close the tournament.
