United (2-1) beat Mercer County (1-2) 30-20 in a consolation bracket game at the ROWVA-Williamsfield/Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament Friday.
The Golden Eagles held a 9-2 lead at the end of the first quarter but were outscored 8-0 in the second quarter to face a 10-9 deficit at halftime. The Golden Eagles scored just 11 points over the final three periods.
Alexa Anderson scored a game-high nine points for United.
Molly Hofmann paced Mercer County with six points.
The Golden Eagles play West Central (1-2) for seventh place on Saturday. The Heat lost to Rockridge (2-1) 52-39 Friday.
