Rockridge Claims 4th Consecutive TRAC Girls Golf Title

Rockridge won its fourth straight Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) girls golf championship at Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island Wednesday.

The Rockets won the conference meet with a team score of 368, which was 24 strokes better than second-place Erie-Prophetstown’s 392. Sherrard took third place by scoring 401. The rest of the team scoreboard was Orion, 409, in fourth place; Princeton, 420, in fifth; Mercer County, 451, in sixth; Riverdale, 469, in seventh; and Newman, 478, in eighth.

Rockridge senior Anna Carroll was the medalist with her score of 83. For the second consecutive year, the Rockets had four of the ten first-team all-TRAC girls golfers. Brylie Davis tied for third, Neva Graves tied for seventh, and Amaya Ernat tied for ninth. They all joined Carroll on the first team.

Sherrard senior Alyssa Layer tied for third place at the meet to be named first-team all-TRAC. Senior teammate Violet Meskan tied for ninth to earn first-team all-TRAC honors.

Mercer County junior Elsie Cook also earned first-team all-conference recognition with a fifth place result.

Orion sophomore Lilly Stone tied for seventh to be named first-team all-TRAC.
