An upgrade to the track lighting at the Mercer County Fairgrounds will allow grandstand entertainment to run later into the evening.
Through a donation, the fair was able to upgrade the track lights to stadium-quality. Mercer County Fair Board President Rita Williams says this will allow racing events at the grandstand, like the flat track motorcycle races, to run into the evening.
Last year, the motorcycle races had to start earlier in the day because of the darkness at the track.
The Mercer County Fair runs July 9-13 in Aledo.
