The Sherrard High School boys basketball program is bringing back its “Summer Park Tour” next month.
Last summer, the program hosted four community basketball sessions at outdoor basketball courts around the school district for third through eighth grade students. Each stop consists of a mix of youth instruction and games.
The first stop this year is Matherville Park on Sunday, July 7, at noon. Sherrard High School boys basketball coach Alex Johnson says the tour received great feedback and a strong turnout last year.
The other four dates for the tour are Tuesday, July 9, in Sherrard; Thursday, July 11, in Viola; Tuesday, July 16, in New Windsor; and Thursday, July 18, in Coyne Center all at 10 a.m.
