Rockridge hosts Sherrard in boys basketball Friday in a highly anticipated early season Three Rivers Athletic Conference West match-up.
Both teams are off to undefeated starts to the 2023-24 season and are in this week’s Nesto Hoops IHSA Class 2A top 25. The Rockets (6-0, 2-0 TRAC West) are #1 and the Tigers (5-0, 1-0 TRAC West) are #24 this week.
The two teams played three times last season, with Rockridge going 3-0, including winning in the regional championship over Sherrard, 41-25.
Before the two schools played in football in September, Glen Cook and Eric Hutchins spoke on WRMJ’s pre-game show about the meaning of the Rockridge-Sherrard rivalry.
