The Sherrard Tigers opened the high school girls cross country season by winning the Rocket Run at Rock Falls Monday. The Tigers finished with a team score of 52, beating Rock Falls by four.
Sherrard had four of the top eleven individual finishers: Madison Mathis, 7th; Beth Churchill, 9th; Tori Browning, 10th; and Anna Churchill, 11th.
Ridgewood’s Emily Downing finished first and Orion’s Olivia Thomsen came in third place.
