Mercer County slipped by Sherrard at Oak View Country Club and Rockridge rolled at Emerald Hills in girls golf Wednesday. The Golden Eagles shot a 218 to the Tigers 221. Sherrard’s Marissa Kunzman was the medalist with a 48. The Rockets fired a 195 to Alleman’s 245 and Sterling’s 286. Rockridge’s Hannah Graves was the medalist with a 44. In boys golf, Monmouth-Roseville shot 186, Ridgewood 196, and Kewanee 201 at Valley View.
On the volleyball court, Mercer County dropped their home opener to Monmouth-Roseville 25-17, 25-10 and Galesburg beat West Central in straight games 25-22, 25-15.
Junior High baseball saw West Central nip Ridgewood 5-4.
