A number of township races are featured on next Tuesday’s consolidated election ballot in Mercer County. Eight candidates are running for four trustee positions in Mercer Township. The candidates are Jeff McWhorter, Phyllis Bewley, Jim Welch, Thomas Lloyd, Mark Bieri, Eric Skinner, Larry Bull and John Swearingen. Mercer Township voters will also be asked whether they support ATV and UTV usage on township roads.
In Greene Township, five candidates are running for four trustee spots—Jeffrey Whittington, Karen King, Randy Slater, Chris Johnston and Susan DeBlock. There is also a contested race for Greene Township Highway Commissioner between Joe Lower and Michael Nelson.
In New Boston Township, Nathan Frieden and Doug Giles are running for Highway Commissioner.
In Perryton Township, Andrew Lower and David Lloyd are running for Highway Commissioner.
