A decision on the 2021 Rhubarb Fest will be made next month. Mayor Chris Hagloch said at a recent city council meeting that the verdict will come from the Rhubarb Fest Committee on March 15.
The Rhubarb Fest Committee has been meeting since January.
All regions of Illinois are in Phase 4, which mean crowd limitations of 50 or less for social events. It is unclear when the Governor plans to move to Phase 5, which would result in a complete reopening of the state and allow for conventions, festivals, and large events to take place
The current test positivity rate in Mercer County is 7.3 percent, it’s 3.9 percent in the region and 3.3 percent for the state.
