One of the main questions regarding the COVID vaccine is when can vulnerable populations like those with underlying health conditions or the elderly receive it? Currently, Mercer County Health Department Administrator Carla Ewing says the state is in phase 1A, which means the vaccine is available for frontline healthcare personnel, including EMS 1st responders that provide direct pre-hospital emergency care.
The Mercer County Health Department is promoting a new website, available at mchdil.com. Ewing will be providing weekly COVID vaccine updates each Wednesday morning at 9:20 on the WRMJ Focus program.
