A trio of Illinois House Republicans, including local State Rep. Dan Swanson speak out concerning a COVID-19 outbreak at the LaSalle Veterans’ Home. The group is demanding hearings of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee commence immediately.
The outbreak has led to 106 residents and 96 employees positive with COVID-19, which resulted in 28 deaths from complications related to the virus. Swanson says as both a veteran of the United States Army and the Illinois Army National Guard, caring for our veterans is one of the most important charges we have in public service
Swanson is a member of the House Veterans Affairs committee.
