Sherrard High School senior Jacob Belha won every race this season, including Saturday’s cross country sectional at Seneca. His three-mile time was 16:44.5. Sherrard cross country coach Joe Lopez spoke about Jacob’s determination this season during Saturday’s WRMJ Sportsline.
Sherrard finished second as a team. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the IHSA is not having a state meet this season.
