The Mercer County School District announcing another individual has tested positive for the coronavirus. The latest case involves Apollo Elementary School and follows separate COVID-19 cases at Mercer County Intermediate School and Mercer County High School.
The district is coordinating their efforts with the Mercer County Health Department to promptly identify and monitor individuals who have had recent contact with the three positive cases. They are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with state and local health departments. Those students or staff members who have had close contact with the infected individuals will be placed in quarantine for 14 days.
