Another local history lesson. 15 Mercer County soldiers lost their lives during the Vietnam War and their stories are being told on a special Facebook page called Mercer County Veterans Tribute. The research is being done by Lois Retherford and Nick Seefeld. It’s serving as the lead up to the 360-foot replica of the Vietnam War Memorial coming to Aledo during next year’s Rhubarb Fest.
Again, the Facebook page is called Mercer County Veterans Tribute.
Funds are being raised this weekend to help bring the replica wall to Aledo through the VFW Memorial Ride on Saturday. Proceeds will also benefit the VFW.
