Mercer County and Sherrard hosted some cross country action on a soggy Wednesday while Ridgewood teed it up at Valley View.
In the boys cross country meet Ridgewood bested Mercer County 27-29. Mercer County’s Derek Coulter was the overall winner in 17:12. At Sherrard, the Tigers scored 18 points to Bureau Valley’s 53 and Hall’s 63 to post the win. Sherrard’s Jacob Belha was the winner in 16:43. In the girls competition, Mercer County was the winner with 32 points followed by Ridgewood with 44 and Annawan-Wethersfield with 55. The Spartans Kennedy Anderson was the overall winner in 20:14. At Sherrard, it was Sherrard 17 to Bureau Valley’ 37. The Tigers Addie Knox was the winner in 22:44.
On the links, Ridgwood topped Williamsfield 174 to 229. The Spartans Tom Bumann and Gannon Greenman were co-medalists with 40’s.
