The ballot is taking shape in Mercer County. August 20th was the last day for parties to fill vacancies for the November 3rd election. Republicans filled openings on the ballot for County Board seats in District 2 with Kirby McLaughlin and Gary Anderson in District 5. Republicans also have candidates running in District 1 with Rebecca Hawn, Linda Koepke in District 3, and Josh Frieden in District 4. Democrats have only one County Board candidate, Larry Stone running in District 3. There are two open seats in District 3 so Stone and Koepke are running uncontested.
For countywide positions, Greg Larson is running unopposed for Coroner after winning a contested race in the Republican primary over Gary Lucas.
Incumbent Circuit Clerk Kristin Relander is running unopposed and there is a contested race for State’s Attorney with incumbent Meeghan Lee being challenged by Grace Simpson.
