While local school boards and administrators are looking for direction from the state when it comes to getting students and staff back in the classroom, Governor J.B. Pritzker says they want schools to be able to design their own unique plans. He says what might work for one district may not work for another, and that’s why the state issued broad recommendations.
The 60-page return to class outline was released this week by the governor and Illinois State Board of Education. Pritzker acknowledges that it won’t be easy to keep students wearing masks all day.
