Former Country Bank executive Dana Frye’s report date to prison has been extended by 90 days. He was scheduled to turn himself into the Federal Bureau of Prisons on April 13th, but U.S. District Court Judge Sara Darrow granted his unopposed motion to extend report date to July 13th. The 66-year-old Frye was sentenced to five years in prison in late February after admitting he conspired with others to influence the failed Country Bank to make loans to projects in which he held a personal financial interest. He pleaded guilty to the charge last October and was also ordered to pay $23.5 million in restitution. The court is recommending that Frye serve his sentence at the federal prison in Thomson, Illinois. Frye’s motion was based on current risks posed by the COVID-19 virus.
