A Monmouth man sustains minor injuries in a drunk driving accident in Mercer County. The crash occurred Wednesday along U.S. 67 near Preemption. The driver, 21 year old Rosendo E. Ramirez-Velasquez was transported to Unity Point in Rock Island for his injuries. He was treated and released and then charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and was also cited for no valid driver’s license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.
