As the City of Aledo hopes for a permanent tenant for the Button Building or a new owner, they plan to repair the roof in the interim. Mayor Chris Hagloch says a downtown consultant will be involved in the process.
The building dates back to the 1860’s. There’s been several attempts to breath new life into the property, dating back to 2005, but all efforts eventually stalled.
