Western Illinois Congresswoman Cheri Bustos takes issue with U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos over the Borrower Defense rule as it relates to federal student loans. Bustos questioned DeVos during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing to review the President’s Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Request for the Department of Education.
Bustos also took issue with DeVos saying the department lacks a clear strategy in response to teacher recruitment and retention.
