LIHEAP Program Available For Mercer County Residents

Local help is available for those struggling to pay their winter heating bills. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program or “LIHEAP” can keep the heat on during the cold winter months. If a household qualifies, payment will be sent directly to the utility. LIHEAP spokesperson Deidre Coughlin says eligibility is based on your last month income.

Locally, the LIHEAP program is administered through the Mercer County Project NOW office in Aledo. For more information or to make an appointment to apply, call 582-2644.
