* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE…Portions of northeast Missouri, east central and
southeast Iowa and north central, northwest and west central
Illinois.
* WHEN…From 6 AM Sunday to midnight CST Sunday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel will be very hazardous. Snow and
blowing snow will create near blizzard conditions at times, with
near zero visibility. Heavy, wet snow and strong winds will
result in downed tree limbs and power lines.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
