The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office experiencing ongoing telephone issues with its non-emergency numbers. According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department media release, Frontier Communications was made aware of this issue during the afternoon of Saturday, November 3rd. However, Frontier Communications will not be addressing the issue until Tuesday, November 6th. All citizens are requested to call Mercer County’s 911 emergency line in the event that they need to speak with the Sheriff’s Office. However, the Sheriff’s Office requests that such calls be made with the understanding the 911 emergency lines need to remain as open as possible to address true emergencies.
