Aledo Police Chief Trevor Fisk reminding residents to lock up their vehicles. This follows reports of car thefts and car break-ins in the Quad Cities area.
Last week, five teens were charged after a vehicle with a young child inside was stolen in Rock Island. Police say a Saturn Outlook was stolen from the 13-hundred block of 14th and a half Street with a four-year old girl still in the back seat. Not long after, the stolen vehicle was located in the area of 8th St and 15th Ave unoccupied. A massive search ensued before the child was found. All five suspects are charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, while one of the teens also faces a charge of kidnapping.
