A Joy man has pleaded guilty to a Class 4 felony criminal sexual abuse charge. 54-year-old Michael Davis was placed on 24-months conditional discharge and sentenced to 180 days in the Mercer County Jail with 152 days credit for time served.
He was also ordered to obtain a sex offender evaluation and complete any recommended treatment. In addition, he must register as a sex offender
As part of the guilty plea this week in Mercer County Circuit Court, a Class X felony of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and a Class 4 felony of sexual exploitation of a child were dismissed. Davis was arrested in December of 2023.
