Anderson Introduces Legislation To Repeal Illinois FOID Card

Legislation to repeal Illinois’ Firearm Owners I.D. Card will be debated in the new 2020 legislative session. Local State Senator Neil Anderson of Andalusia filed a bill to repeal the FOID card, which he says amounts to a tax on law abiding citizens second amendment rights.

Senate Bill 2535 will first be taken up by the Senate Judiciary Committee. A hearing date has not been set.
