50,000 Miles On The Campaign Trail For GOP Challenger Fawell In 17th District Congressional Race

Although he’s lost significant state and local Republican Party support, Bill Fawell continues to campaign for the 17th District Congressional seat.  He is challenging incumbent Cheri Bustos.  Among his ideas is the Volunteer Fire Department Act.

Fawell says the plan would be paid for by reducing other areas of the federal government.  He says he is a supporter of President Donald Trump and was asked about Bustos winning in 2016 despite the 17th Congressional District being carried by Trump.

Fawell says he’s already travelled almost 50,000 miles during the campaign season and will be averaging 1,000 more per week leading up to the election on November 6.
