45 Years Of Memories On WRMJ

June 12, 1979. That was the start of WRMJ FM 102.3. From our 25th Anniversary cassette, John Hoscheidt said the station went on the air at 8:01 a.m. Our 25th anniversary celebration was one of the biggest. We invite you to listen to some of those memories throughout the day and the coming days.

We have also retrieved some memories from 1989. That was anniversary number 10 for WRMJ. In 1989, WRMJ interviewed farmers, local business owners, 4-H members, and high school athletes, and it’s evident that not much has changed.

As we celebrate our 45th Anniversary, we’ve recently debuted a new website, created an app, and have the ability to stream all four local football games every Friday night. Mercer County residents living in all corners of the earth can listen to find out the latest about their hometowns.

You will hear many memories playing throughout the day on WRMJ. And you’re invited to join us at the new WRMJ Studios at 129 S. College Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our 45th Anniversary Open House. As always, thank you for listening!
