Two local businesses are the recipients of $15,000 grants.
1st Community Bank applied for and received the Community First Accelerate Grants for Small Business through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
Dale Boswell of First Community Bank made the check presentation.
The grants were awarded to Snug as a Bug in Aledo owner Stephanie DeShane and Country Landscapes owner Matt Hessman.
The grants are designed to help small businesses purchase or expand their property, buy equipment and supplies, train staff, and buy new technology.
