ALEDO, IL — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 67 near Preemption on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on July 31 when two vehicles traveling together slowed or stopped to make a turn. A third vehicle struck the middle car from behind, pushing it into the lead vehicle.
One driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The other drivers were not hurt.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Sherrard Fire, Matherville Fire, AMT Ambulance, and Coal Valley Ambulance.
