The two men arrested after police seized more than 13 pounds of drugs from an Aledo house have been granted pre-trial release with GPS monitoring.
22-year-old Preston Huston of Aledo and 22-year-old Dequan Huntley of Chicago appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court on Friday for a detention hearing after being released from police custody.
Huston and Huntley were arrested last week following an investigation by the Aledo Police Department and Quad Cities Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG) into an alleged illicit drug operation. A press release from the Aledo Police Department says that 119 grams of MDMA testing positive for methamphetamine, 4,697 grams of marijuana, 1,506 grams of THC wax, 63 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, and digital scales were found and seized from the property.
Huston is charged with a Class X felony of possession with intent to deliver 100-400 grams of methamphetamine and a Class 1 felony of possession with intent to deliver 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis.
Huntley is charged with a Class X felony of possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine and a Class 2 felony of possession with intent to deliver 500-1,000 grams of cannabis.
A preliminary hearing for both is Aug. 11.
