Sherrard (13-2, 5-0 TRAC West) defeated Mercer County (9-11, 1-4 TRAC West) 49-29 at Harry Hunt Gymnasium Thursday to remain unbeaten in conference play.
The Tigers opened the game on an 11-0 run and never trailed. Mercer County responded with seven unanswered points to make it 11-7 at the end of the first quarter. Four points was the closest the deficit got for the Golden Eagles, as the Tigers led 25-14 at halftime and 36-24 at the end of the third.
Violet Meskan poured in a game-high 21 points for Sherrard. Rachael Fender added 14 in the win.
Molly Hofmann led the Golden Eagles with 14 points.
Sherrard remains alone in first place in the TRAC West, one game ahead of Monmouth-Roseville (13-5, 4-1 TRAC West).
