One of the premier regular season IHSA wrestling events takes place this weekend, as the 61st Princeton Invitational Tournament (PIT) begins Friday and continues into Saturday.
This year’s event features 35 teams and includes seven returning state champions. Princeton wrestling coach Steve Amy says it looks to be one of the strongest fields in PIT history.
Mercer County, Rockridge and Orion are among the competing schools.
Amy, a 1999 Rockridge High School graduate, will join WRMJ’s Sportsline on Saturday morning to discuss the PIT.
