The second person wanted in connection with a residential burglary in the Taylor Ridge area last month has been arrested on a warrant in Muscatine County. A Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department press release indicates that 34 year old Devin Thomas Stevens was booked at the Muscatine County Jail late Friday night. His bond has been set at $50,000.
The other person involved in the case, 34-year-old Amber Summers of Taylor Ridge is being held on $1,000,000 bond charged with Class 1 felonies of residential burglary and disarming a peace officer and a Class X felony of aggravated discharge of a firearm involving a police officer. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction. Summers was arrested January 17th after a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Deputy chased her down on foot. During the struggle she attempted to disarm the officer causing a single shot to be fired from the duty weapon, according to a press release. No one was injured.
