The Rockridge High School softball program used its annual Cancer Dedication Game to support a Mercer County High School teacher and coach battling the disease.
All funds raised during the game between Rockridge and Mercer County in Edgington on Thursday were donated to Aaron Heartt, a longtime ag teacher and girls golf coach at Mercer County who is currently fighting cancer.
The event included a bake sale, silent auction items, and a 50/50 raffle.
Both teams wore special uniforms with pink accents in the game.
