After finishing the regular season undefeated, Rockridge earned the top seed in the north bracket of the IHSA Class 2A football playoffs on Saturday night.
The Rockets (9-0), ranked No. 1 in the Week 9 Class 2A AP Poll, will host 16-seed Illini West (5-4) in the first round at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1. WRMJ’s pregame coverage will begin at 12 p.m.
Other TRAC first-round playoff games in 2A include 7-seed Newman Central Catholic at home against 10-seed Ridgeview-Lexington, 11-seed Erie-Prophetstown at 6-seed Aurora Christian, and 13-seed Riverdale traveling to 4-seed Seneca.
In 3A, 5-seed Monmouth-Roseville hosts 12-seed Manteno, and 13-seed Princeton plays at 4-seed Bloomington Central Catholic.
