It was a huge sports weekend as champions were crowned. The Rockridge Rockets 7th grade boys basketball team won two games Saturday to advance to the IESA Class 3A State Championship game Thursday. The Mercer County Golden Eagles wrestling team won their second straight regional title. The Princeville Princes won their first Lincoln Trail Conference basketball tournament championship.
