The Rhubarb Fest Cook-Off is returning during next week’s festival in downtown Aledo.
Contestants need to drop off their entries at The Depot in Aledo from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7. There are separate divisions for pies, cakes/crumbles/crisps, baked or cooked items, and beverages. Each division has a junior category and a professional category.
First and second-place finishers in each category will be awarded gift cards to the festival’s souvenir booth.
Mississippi River Distilling chef Stephanie Godke is one of the judges for the event.
Winners will be announced at the Aledo Central Park Band Shell on Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
