The largest fundraiser to support the Mercer County VFW in Aledo is ramping up. The fundraiser was almost ended but some “young blood” has stepped forward to help keep the event going. This year, the event, scheduled for July 10, moves to Gibson Woods in Monmouth and committee members Aaron Heartt and Darrin Clawson say they’ve been working on it for some time.
