No Opening Date Yet For Aledo Aquatics Center, City Hoping For 2026 Opening

Progress continues on the new Aledo Aquatics Center project, but there is still no official opening date.

Originally, Aledo city officials were targeting Memorial Day to open the new facility. Then, in February, Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch told WRMJ the timeline for opening the Aquatics Center had been pushed back to around July 4.

When asked if July was still on the table for the facility to be opened, Aledo City Administrator Mike Chausse told WRMJ that they haven’t received a definite opening date yet, but are hoping it will be open this year.

The new Aledo Aquatics Center will feature a splash pad, pool, locker rooms, and a concession stand.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the estimated $6.4 million project was held last August.
