A New Windsor woman accused of stealing over $900,000 during her time as a Rock Island County employee will return to court in August.
63-year-old Leisa Streeter appeared in Rock Island County Court on Thursday for a pre-trial conference, where the matter was continued to Aug. 6.
Streeter was arrested and charged with seven felony counts after the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police searched her home last May.
Streeter retired in 2024 after working for Rock Island County as an administrative assistant in court services for 34 years. Prosecutors say she forged documents and opened a fraudulent bank account for personal use in 2003. Streeter is accused of funneling payments into the account and withdrawing the money to pay credit card bills, travel, transportation, and more.
She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Streeter was granted pretrial release last May with conditions, including home detention and GPS tracking.
