A New Boston man is facing meth charges in Mercer County following a weekend arrest.
According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies took 56-year-old Brian Nelson into custody on Friday on multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine and fleeing/eluding a police officer. Nelson was also wanted out of Scott County on theft charges.
Following an initial court appearance on Monday, Nelson was released from custody on home confinement and GPS tracking. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for August 17.
