Mercer County hunters harvest 760 deer during the two firearm weekends. 548 were taken in during the first weekend Nov. 19-21 and another 212 Dec. 2-5. Last year’s firearm deer harvest totaled 836 in Mercer County.
Statewide, the deer harvest is at 71,675 this year compared to last year’s 77,160.
The top two counties this year are Randolph with 2,162 and Adams with 2,047.
