The Mercer County Farm Bureau is hosting a farm succession planning workshop this week.
The event is designed to help farm families build a clear, confident path forward for future generations. Uncommon Farms’ Mike Downey will lead the workshop, which will provide personalized strategies for the needs of your farming operation.
Workshop highlights will include traits of successful farm transitions, management and leadership transition, family harmony and communication, and more.
Mercer County Farm Bureau Manager Jenna Preston says it’s an important event.
The day-long workshop is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday at Lavender Crest Winery in Colona.
The Mercer County Farm Bureau is putting the event on in conjunction with the Rock Island and Henry County Farm Bureaus.
